About this item
A very rare George I silver porringer, made in London in 1719 by William Pearson. It is rare because it is made of Britannia standard silver (95% instead of 92.5% silver) and is in such good condition. Usually such high grade silver gets easily damaged. This one is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Only a slight wear to the engraving. It has an original set of marriage initials in the cartouch. A stunning piece of very early Georgian silver, a must for any collection.
