About this item
A beautiful George II silver Old English style soup ladle. Made in London by Ebenezer Coker. The hallmarks are bottom struck down the shaft and are good apart from the date letter which I think is 1748. The ladle has the Gordon Family crest on the terminal and is constructed with a double drop heal where the shaft is joined to the bowl, this was done to strengthen the join when the ladle was made. It is a stunning piece of early Georgian silver and very collectable.
