    About this item

A rare pair of Scottish silver goblets by James McKay, Edinburgh 1813. Both have a full set of hallmarks just below the rim, they are slightly rubbed but very legable. They have gilded interiors and gadrooned bowls. The goblets are in good condition with no repairs however one has a slightly thin patch probably due to polishing. Great examples of the quality work of  James McKay, one of Scotland's finest Georgian silversmiths. Very unusual to get a matching pair, his and hers very large wine goblets!
