    About this item

A rare George III silver caster made in London by Thomas Shepherd, London 1778. It has a great re-engraved stag's head crest, possibly for the Gordon family. It is of typical Georgian style with a bellied middle. There is an unusual interior addition to the filter as seen in the photographs. A superb piece of Georgian silver and great for any collection. Good provinance having come from The Duke of Sutherlands estate at Dunrobbin Castle.
