Stylish little silver mustard pot of drum form with beaded border around the pot rim and decorative details to the scrolled handle, a pierced thumb catch and stepped and feather shape thumb rest. Fitted with a blue glass liner. It has a scrolling monogram to the lid.
Hallmarked to the base for London 1782, maker Robert Hennell I. The lid just has the lion passant mark inside.
It measures 7.6cm (3") high, 6.7cm (2 3/8") across the foot and 9.2cm (3 1/8") handle to rim. It weighs 165g in total, 106g / 3.4ozt without the liner.
Condition is very good. The hinge has been re-pinned. There is a tiny nick to the handle, pin head size and a small dent underneath the foot. Surface wear is very light, just a couple of very minor marks, the hallmarks are completely clear. The liner is in fine order.
