    About this item

An attractive silver sugar / spice caster styled in the Georgian manner with a reverse pear shape to the lower half with spiral fluting and similar decoration around the foot. Pretty piercings to the cover and stepped baluster knop. Hallmarked for London 1890, original makers mark seemingly GG or GC overstruck by that of Edwin Charles Purdie.

    It measures 16cm (6 1/4") high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide and it weighs 141g / 4.5ozt.

In very good condition with just a minor bruise to the spiral fluting. The maker's mark on the body is well rubbed, the others are fine.
