About this item
A very nice Victorian silver drum mustard pot with gadrooned rim and stepped foot. A nicely shaped handle and finished with a finely cast and attractive thumb rest. The cut out for the spoon is ornately shaped and the pot is fitted with a blue glass liner.
Hallmarked to the base and inside the lid for London 1766, makers George John Richards & Edward Charles Brown. Also marked to the base with shape / model number 7442.
It measures 5.3cm (2 1/8") high to the rim, 7.6cm (3") to the thumb rest. 6.8cm (2 5/8") rim to rim and 9.2cm (3 5/8") rim to handle. It weighs 193g in total (111g / 3.6ozt silver weight).
Condition is excellent with no damage, dents or repairs and light and appropriate surface wear, with no engravings. The marks are all clear and the liner is also in fine order.
