About this item
Sweet silver rattle modelled as Mr. Punch with 2 bells and mother of pearl teether.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1938. maker W. H. Collins & Co.
It measures 7.8cm (3") high and 4cm (1 1/16") wide and weighs 11g.
Condition is very good; there was originally a small hanging loop at the top of his hat which is now missing. The bells appear original and have their jingles inside but are a little squashed underneath. No dents to Mr Punch, light surface wear only with some tarnishing in the detailed areas. The teether has a little movement on the pin but is fully secure.
