About this item
A pretty mid 19th century French silver tussie mussie / nosegay holder with embossed and engraved four sided open structure with wirework and vine leaves. Nicely shaped hexagonal form handle with bright cut engraved detail and finishing with a flared flower shape and ball finial which would have led to a carrying finger chain originally. A pin on a chain attached to one side to secure the posy in place. Unmarked as is usual, c.1850.
It measures 15cm (5 7/8") long and 3.5cm (1 3/8") wide. It measures 33g / 1.0ozt.
In very good condition with only minor signs of age and use.
