About this item
A rare and desirable King George 2nd silver ladle with a Gilded shilling inset to the base of the lipped bowl . The coin is dated 1754 a nice early date for this type of ladle the silver itself is hall marked for 1754 , the long silver tipped barley twist handle is made of stained whalebone known as a Balleen handle. The ladle is very long at 35cm.
