About this item
A very attractive pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks with hexagonal shaped bases with curved walls rising to a hexagonal shelf below stylish multi-knopped stems.
Hallmarked Sheffield 1907, makers James Dixon & Sons.
They measure 17.8cm (7") high, 10cm (just under 4") wide side to side across the base, 11.5cm (4 1/2") across the diagonal. They are weighted.
Condition is very good with no damage or repairs. A couple of minor dints to the foot flange of one and a pinprick dint to the side of the sconce of the other. Surface wear is very light in the main but there are some scratches around the inner lips of the sconces which would be obscured clearly with a candle in situ.
