Victorian English silver full hunter pocket watch Chester 1900

This is a super crisp example of an English silver hunter. It is unusual to find true English examples where the movement AND case are both English as so often the movement has been imported from Switzerland or America

The watch has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1911

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate English movement has a gilt balance and is fully jewelled with screw jewel fittings and also screw fittings on the raised mainspring barrel. The movement is numbered 168343 and is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a top quality English silver hunter case which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops crisply open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. 

The case is decorated with engine turning and has a vacant cartouche. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb crisp condition with light wear only

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set gilt hands and is in 90% mint condition – a forked hairline on the 5 and 7

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 49mm wide x 14mm deep

The watch is stem wound / pin set

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box covered with velvet and lined with silk
