About this item
A lovely Victorian silver and cut glass spirit flask with hobnail pattern to the upper part of the glass, the lower half left smooth to slide inside the original gilt lined silver drinking cup. Bayonet twist hinged lid with embossed and engraved decoration and initials. Cork lined inside to ensure a good seal. Both collar and cup hallmarked for London 1894, maker Thomas Whitehouse.
It measures 16cm (6 1/4") high, 8cm (3 1/8") wide and 4cm (1 5/8") deep.
Condition is very good. There is a small smooth nick to the outside edge of the rim which doesn't affect use or seal. No chips or scuffs to the cut glass. No dents or other issues with the silver. The bayonet twist cover works very well and seals fully, the cork is in good order also so it is ready to be used. Minor handling wear only.
