William Comyns rare silver notepad
A rare notepad/holder by William Comyns.
The top is decorated with cherubs, typical for Comyns. Super condition very little wear and good clear marks.
The central ceramic plaque can be written on with a pencil and then cleaned off, there are one or two minor chips to the edge.
The leather is in pretty good condition commensurate with age.
On the reverse are two inset screws which loosen the silver to allow paper to be inserted.
Not sure if it would originally have had a silver pencil to the side, but it fits a normal pencil.
Very unusual and very pretty.
