    About this item

A nice Georgian silver pint tankard by John Kidder, hallmarked for London 1778. Of plain baluster form with a looped and crested handle and raised on a spreading circular foot. The marks are clear. The base has a later inscription: Rupert Leonard Eversley Milburn from his Godfather C.A.R. Boughton-Knight Sep 3. 1919. The handle has a split to the upper join requiring repair. Otherwise a nice antique tankard. Interestingly the tankard may have been inherited by Charles Andrew Rouse-Boughton-Knight from Downton Hall, Shropshire.
