About this item
A stunningly beautiful glass tankard with a silver lid holding a handpainted porcelain insert. Made during World War 1 in 1915 by Henry Aitken of Sheffield. The tankard is in excellent condition, the glass, the painted panel and the silver lid are superb. There are full sets of hallmarks as seen in the photographs. The quality of the hand painting of the wildlife scene is glorious. A wonderful piece of art.
