    Pretty Victorian silver Christening mug of unusual waisted, octagonal shape with an inverted step part way up and engraved on all sides with stylised bunches of flowers and leaves, possibly tulips. The central panel has a vacant cartouche. Finished with a delicate double scrolled handle. 

    Hallmarked for London 1852, makers Samuel Hayne and Dudley Cater.

    It measures 9cm (3 1/2") high, 6cm ( 2 1/4") wide and 7.5cm (2 7/8") rim to handle. It weighs 93g/3.0ozt. 

    Condition is very good with no damage or dents and very light surface wear.
