About this item
A very heavy, reclaimed, cast iron train station bracket. The bracket is from an East Midlands Railway (E&MR) platform. The bracket has the EMR letters intertwined in a circle and surrounding this is pretty scrolled detailing. The bracket has stepped detailing at the top of the back edge. The cast iron has been painted black with the lettering white but the paint is flaking and chipping. The bracket is in good solid condition with some character signs of age, as expected. There is surface rust visible where the paint has chipped and flaked. The bracket has some small knocks to the edges. The bracket is an ideal item for collectors of railwayana or it could be used for a project. The bracket is a nice decorative antique item that would make a nice feature or display piece.
