    About this item

    A small, Victorian, iron with three bricks and a tin attachment with wooden handle. Each of the bricks are marked, in the casting, “ASBESTOS SAD IRON” and the tin cover is marked “ PAT MAY 22ND 1900". The cover attaches to the bricks by means of small holes in the sides of the bricks and a spring mechanism in the cover. The bricks vary in shape and would have been used for ironing different fabrics.

    Dimensions: Length 12.5cm. Width 5.6cm. Height 10cm.

    One of the fittings on the handle is broken but other than that it is in good condition.

    Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £35. Most of Western Europe add £10.
