About this item
A very unusual, large cast iron flat iron. This is probably French or German. The top of the iron is cast with a soldier embracing a young lady. The casting is good quality and the handle shape is also most unusual.
Date: c.1870.
Condition: There is a small piece missing from the rim of the shoulder of the iron.
Dimensions: Length 17.2cm. Width 9cm. Height 10cm.
