This is an antique fireside foot rest. An English, oak and mahogany kneeling stool, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
Beautifully upholstered, generously sized rest
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Select oak and mahogany stocks show rich hues and fine grain interest
Quality, later velour upholstery with colourful foliate pattern
Over a metre wide, with comfortable foot rest proportion for two
Raised upon a trio of shaped stiles, decorative patera carved to the end sections
