Antique Regency yew wood tea caddy of sarcophagus form with boxwood stringing and figured yew veneers. The top opens to a lidded tea box and a glass mixing bowl (note: old hairline crack). To the sides, a pair of gilt brass ring handles with winged double headed eagle back plates. Stands upon brass ball feet.
English, circa 1800 – 1820
