A Fine Mid 19th Century Anglo Indian Lacquer Chest on Stand
Executed by artisans from Bareilly, Northern India, under the control of the East India Company
Beautiful Gilded Lacquer depicting a heavenly Garden with Pagoda’s , Trees including Willows,Water, Birds, Flowers and Folk having fun.
The Trunk timber appears to be Camphor.
In good “ Country House” condition.
The odd knock here and there, cup rings, fade and a little crackle to the surface, non of which detracts from is wonderful look.
