    About this item

    Brass Pullman Lamp
Pullman Coach lamps were used in British trains in the early 20th century. These were sold in various styles and retailed from the trade catalogues of J & W.B.Smith Ltd of London and Glasgow in polished brass, now unpolished and with good patination. Rewired with a natural braided linen flex and fitted with a switched bayonet cap bulb holder.
    British, circa 1920

30.5cm to the top of the bulb holder.

Condition: One leg has been replaced, this is an old repair, the original leg would have been screwed to the table in the carriage and perhaps was damaged on removal, hence replaced.
