A stunning very fluid designed French bronzed spelter figural newal lamp by Mathurin Moreau (1822-1912). Maiden clad in drapery holding aloft a torchiere in left hand. Foundry stamp on reverse of base "Fabrciation Francaise, Made in Paris, France" Solid brass plaque on front LA FABLE par Math.Moreau. Striated green/black marble base - felted underneath. Original torchiere glass shade 14cm high x 8cm diameter. Rewired and PAT tested. In line on/off switch
