This is an antique needlepoint tapestry. A Continental, embroidered framed panel, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Fascinating tapestry presenting Renaissance overtones. Displays a desirable aged patina, some wear commensurate with age. Decades of display have graced the panel with light sun fading. Wandering Dandy embraced in a whimsical moment with a young woman. Mounted upon a wooden frame with pins to edge, for ease of wall hanging.
