About this item
This colourful handmade tapestry was woven in Aubusson, part of the upper valley of the Creuse in central France....it depicts a traditional "verdure" scene and shows a country scene of a bird of prey amongst trees and flowers with thick blue and green foliage....it has a linen backing for protection and is ready to be hung......excellent colours and condition.
French. C1740-60. Hanging Instructions. It has a velcro strip sewn into the linen backing at the top, which can be attached to a velcro baton supplied.
