About this item
This long squishy cushion is made from a vintage hand loomed textile from East China. Textiles such as these were woven for domestic use or by a girl's mother to be part of her dowry when she married. The looms were typically around 14 or 15" wide so I've sewn several pieces together to get the desired width in a horizontal stripe. The textile has a few imperfections in the weave as is often characteristic of a hand loomed textile and these are part of its charm. The blue colour is a delightful pastel shade. I've added handmade tassels in recycled jeans cotton and there is a zip fastener and feather pad.
