About this item
a very rare 1920s pratts & murattis cigarette pocket tin for motorists. This is a really exciting tin due to the fact its mixed two of the biggest companies in fuel and smoking. the link with the anglo american oil company the owners of pratts who reccieved their royal warrent in 1905. with the beautiful pictorials to both sides one being the gilbert and barker pump with the classic globe. i believe the tin to be early 1920 as in the middle of the 1920s pratts started to introduce tommy prattkins which i believe they would have used him on this tin if it was from the period. The other side the tin has a 2 gallon petrol can. with the royal warrent. The tin would of originally contained cigarettes these would have been for the pocket of the motorist. such a rare example of a tin and very thrilled to own it would grace any collection.
