About this item
A charming group of miniature wash-day tools, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century.
The mangle was made by H Wallwork & Co of Manchester, and their name is impressed into the top of the cast iron frame. This may be a toy, or possibly a salesman's sample as it is fully working and appears to be an exact replica of the full size model. It measures 17.5cm wide, by 21cm tall.
The dolly is beautifully made out of turned wood and has an attractively aged patina. It measures 17.5cm tall.
The washboard is slightly later in date than the other pieces. It measures 17.5cm tall.
