About this item
A traditional folk art paddle toy dating to approximately the 1920s. It has three geese on top of the paddle that peck at seed on the ground when the weight underneath is swung round. Much of the original gesso paint is intact but it has an attractive play-worn appearance. The toy probably originated in Continental Europe.
The height measurement given is for the hanging weight and the wooden part of the toy.
