A good 19th century Irish Blackthorn Shillelagh or Cudgel. The name Shilleagh originating from the town of Shillelagh, Co.Wicklow, Ireland . This short 44cm example is designed for close quarter stick fighting. Often used as a weapon in disagreements and to settle arguments! Note the extra Knobbly club end for inficting maximum damage....ouch!
Condition commensurate with age and use.
