About this item
A 19th century, treen spoon. This is very simple in form, it is carved in beechwood and it dates from c.1880. It is very light in weight, as the wood has dried out over the years, and it has also seen plenty of use as there is significant wear to the rim of the spoon. It is in very good condition, with just slight staining to the wood which you would expect with over a century of use.
