About this item
J22165: A nineteenth century, beechwood butter roller. This is well carved with pineapples. It would have been used for impressing a design around the edge of a block of butter before taking it to the table.It is English, dates from c.1880 and is in excellent condition. The wood has a pale, honey coloured patina.
