This is a key from the Victorian period
The key has a gilt body decorated with floral engraving.
The key is set with a glass on each side and once held paint or some resin. This has now dried and is loose between the glass pieces. It may be possible to remove one glass cover and replace the contents with a keep sake
The key has a suspension loop which rotates a full 360 degrees
The key has a steel winding pipe, covered with a gilt sleeve and is a size 3-4 approx
The key measures 38mm x 13mm x 7mm
The key is in 85% mint condition – the gilding has worn away making the gilding a little dull
