About this item
A nineteenth century, English copper saute pan. This is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it has the typical English shape of steel handle. There are no manufacturers marks but it dates from c.1880. It is in good condition but there is some pitting to the steel handle from age and use. The interior of the pan has been re-tinned for use, however, the base of the pan does not sit totally flat so it is only really suitable for use on a gas hob.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 24.5cm. Depth of pan 4.2cm. Overall length of pan and handle 45.8cm.
