About this item
Pretty early Worcester fluted sauceboat set on collet foot with angled strap handle and spurred thumb rest, painted in The Rose pattern, c.1770.
Marked with an open crescent to the base. Referenced Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.13.
It measures 14.5cm (5 3/4") spout to handle, 8.2cm (3 1/4") wide and 6.3cm (2 5/8") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Very light surface wear, just a little to the glaze on the thumb rest from use and some discolouration to the underside of the foot rim as it is unglazed.
