A large mid-century Capodimonte ceramic urn, c. 1970s. The bottom half comes away from the base for transport. has small wear to gilding commensurate with age.
Capodimonte porcelain became highly popular in early C18th Napoli and currently, the Royal Factory of Capodimonte has become one of the largest museums in Southern Italy, where some of the most famous pieces of the Neapolitan tradition are kept. However, the craftsmanship of Capodimonte porcelain has never stopped and continues to be adored around the world.
