About this item
A very rare offering of pair of beautiful Ando Jubei (1876-1956) Rose vases in excellent condition. In classic form with elegant raised shoulders, the master artist employed superb wireless technique and colored enamels of butterscotch, burgundy, cream, pink and green to depict roses in full bloom and bud form. Perfectly smooth to touch, the vases are finished in high gloss. Rims and bases are hand finished in silver metal. Stamped with the artist's signature mark on the base. These refined pieces date to late Meiji period and remain some of the finest and collectible works by the celebrated artist.
