Michael Blaker (1928–2018)
Painter, printmaker and writer on art, born in Hove, Sussex, studying at Brighton School of Art. Was elected RE in 1975 and RWA in 1987, also showing at RA and RP. Contributed to art magazines, edited RE’s Journal and published several books, including The Autobiography of a Painter-Etcher, 1986, the year after he founded Beresford House Press. Victoria & Albert Museum holds his work. Lived in Rochester, Kent.
