    1 Mid Century Modern Style 20th Century  Carstens of Tonnieshof West German Brown Ceramic Vase.

    A feature that stands out are the different shades of brown colours.

    With twin carry handles.

    Made from ceramic pottery.

    Maker Carstens 1945-1987 Founded by brothers Christian and Ernst Carstens after they lost most of their factories to the DDR. The Carstens Uffrecht factory in East Germany became the manufacturer VEB Haldensleben.

    The Carstens Tonnieshof factory was located in Freden an der Leine (West Germany).

    Designers included Trude Carstens (wife of Ernst Carstens), Heinz Siery, Gerda Heuckeroth and Dieter Peter.

    So in vogue to suit any home interior design theme, traditional or contemporary.

    Sought after by interior designers, private collectors & home decorators.

    Circa late 20th century 1970's.

    Numbered in on the base 6162-29 with the two hut pictorials and letter C.

    Origin from Germany.

    Provenance bought from a private collection.

    Condition report. 

    Offered in fine used condition ready for immediate home display. 

    Having some noticeable stains, wear marks in places and very minor chips commensurate with usage & age.
