English Silver Double Sovereign Case c1894

This is an oval shaped English Silver double sovereign case with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1894

The case has a sprung hinged lid, which reveals two circular sprung platforms. These platforms move up or down depending on the quantity of sovereigns held and one is slightly smaller to accommodate half sovereigns.

The case is decorated with bright cut engraving and has a crest on the front engraved with Eveland. The case also has a suspension loop so that it can be attached to a watch chain or chatelaine. The case has clear maker's marks for RE. The case is in 90% mint condition  - light wear only
