    This is an English silver pocket watch which has clear hallmarks for London 1887

    The watch has a good balance and spring and will tick but does not keep good time

     

    Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Adam Burdess, Coventry, 19362”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – some light cloudy marks on the edge

    The movement is lacking its gilt dust cap

    Case – the movement comes in an English silver case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, is set from the front and swings out from the front also.

    The inner cover is inscribed “W Newport”

    The case is decorated all over with fancy engraving. The case is in 90% mint condition – sone very light scratches only.

    Dial – the solid silver dial has a set of blue steel hands. The dial is decorated with raised rose gold numbers and a central border of raised yellow gold flowers. The dial is in 95% mint condition – light marks and scratches only

    The watch measures 50mm wide x 18mm deep

    The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
