This is a wooden pocket watch stand in the shape of a grandfather clock
The pocket watch stand portion is carved “Redeem thy Time” The front of the stand is decorated with an owl under a crescent moon and stars. These have a polished finish and the background is carved finish. Underneath with the same polished finish against a carved background is a shell motif and on each side, there is a cockerel, flowers and conch shells. The back of the stand has a white label which reads “This belonged to Richard Rowell, my father of The Mill, Billinghay. Believed to be an apprentice piece”
The stand measures 310mm x 85mm x 75mm and is in 90% mint condition – there is an age related crack on the front pocket watch section
