A very attractive 19th Century green glass decanter. Hand Wheel-Engraved decoration of fern leaf fronds. Polished pontil to the base, slight wear to foot.
The pattern is of a known pattern type, originating during the 19th Century Victorian 'Fern Fever' craze (Pteridomania). The decanter here is an unmarked, original 19th Century example.
A beautiful decanter in excellent condition.
