About this item
An extraordinarily pretty, fine quality Victorian festoon cut, apple green crystal decanter, likely by Richardson of Stourbridge, England, Circa 1840s. This rare antique decanter has historically been repaired with silver to the stopper and collar rim, which was always a sign of an item which was considered too good to discard so it was sent away to be strengthened or repaired to ensure longer term use. These old repairs now add to the history and patina of a piece. The decanter is also beautifully engraved with a unicorn cipher to the front panel.
