    About this item

A fine late Georgian silver wine label pierced for "Hock" with ornate surrounding decoration of bunches of grapes and vine leaves and unusually a lion or leopard head facing out from the top. Hallmarks to the back are obscured by the piercings but the makers mark is clear for Charles Rawlings and William Summers, c.1835-1840.

    It measures 4.8cm (1 7/8") wide by 3.8cm (1 1/2") high and weighs 16g / 0.5ozt.

    In excellent condition.
