    An impressive large antique Nepalese ritual festival mask. Probably representing Hanuman. Hand carved from wood with a fabric covering and hand painted surface. Dating from circa.1900-1920.

    These type of masks are used in the Ramayana theater performances and puja festivals.

    Provenance from a UK collection formed in the 1960's.

    The mask comes complete with oak display stand but can be removed if desired.
