    An impressive large old Nepalese ritual festival mask of Indra. Hand carved from solid wood. Dating from circa.1900-1920. The mask comes complete with oak display stand, it can be removed if desired. 52cms tall on stand.

    These type of masks are used in the Ramayana theater performances and puja festivals and represent Indra or Shiva.

    Provenance from a UK collection.

    Hard wood with layered poly-chrome paint of many re-paintings.
