FS0236 A RECLAIMED ANTIQUE PAINTED PINE FIRE SURROUND

A simple and elegant, reclaimed, painted pine antique fire surround. The surround has a classic and traditional style appearance with a recessed panel with mouldings along the crossbar. The fire surround is of a good size for a living or dining room, ideal for pairing with a fire inset. The pine has been painted white but there are some knocks and chips to the paint and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the surround to suit. The fire surround is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and light damage, as expected. The sides of the legs are missing some paint. The mantel is slightly upturned on one side and has some cracking to the paintwork and perhaps some surface splits to the wood. There is a circle on the right hand side of the fire that is perhaps a patch repair or sticker. One of the back corners of the mantel has been cut to fit in its original place. The moulding under the mantel has some separation to joins. One leg has some damage at the base with a split in the wood. The back of the mantel has some holes and some nails. Please see pictures for condition details. The surrounds simple and elegant design makes it ideal for a period or modern home and will make a nice feature for a fireplace.
